Madhabkunda Waterfall (মাধবকুন্ড ঝরনা) at Barlekha Upazila in Moulvibazar is one of the largest waterfalls in Bangladesh. It's about 200 ft high and a popular tourist spot in our country. You can visit Madhabkunda from Sylhet or Moulvibazar by road. It's about 70 km far from Sreemangal, 5 km away from Dakshinbagh railway station. The journey to Madhabkunda itself is exciting, the road goes through tea gardens and hills. On the way you can see the greenish beauty of tea garden, the hills and the zigzag road through the hills. The entry ticket price is only 10 tk per person. Inside the waterfall area there is a small park for children's and a watch tower. Both need tickets of 10 tk per person. There is a car parking near waterfall for the visitors. I went there on 12th August, Friday - 2016. The waterfall area is secured but there is not much thing to look around except the waterfall. Though it's a rainy season but the water falling from the hill is narrow. As some people died in the past trying to go too much close to the waterfall, authority restricted that area by a rope and guards always standby there to stop too much enthusiastic people trying to climb the hill or go too deep to the waterfall. Overall it's a nice place for time pass. The surrounding hill, nature and waterfall will give you a pleasant memory.

End of my small tour I find something which is not permitted in our country. Some teenagers selling herons to the public. This wild birds are not for sell and hunting or eating wild birds is strictly prohibited. As a law abiding citizen we should protest such crimes.
